The Millennium Garden of Time is located in Youghal, County Cork. Developed on about half a hectare of land at a cost of about €317,500, the project was initiated by the local Tidy Town Committee and took nine months to construct.

The garden, which is based on the Chi-Rho page from the Book of Kells – an abbreviated monogram in Greek for the name of Christ – features a number of ponds. Each one contains a fountain clock and tells a different aspect of time. One of the ponds contains two entwined serpents, which are much in evidence in the Book of Kells; as they rotate, they spout water to the numerals on the circumference, thereby telling the time in minutes and hours. Another pond contains a large circular ceramic tablet with four illuminated evangelists.
