Listowel is a heritage town in County Kerry and has traditional links with food production as it is the home of the Kerry Food Group and has long been a traditional market town. The venue for the market, the Square, is in a beautiful setting in Listowel town centre and the market is open air.

Food at the market includes breads, fish, organic vegetables, crepes, homemade meat pies, Italian deli produce, farmhouse cheeses and handmade chocolate.
