Eightercua Stone Row

Dating back to 1700 BC, the Eightercua Stone Row in County Kerry is a believed to be part of a Megalithic tomb. In Irish mythology, it is said to be the burial place of Sceine, who died at sea just before the Milesians landed in Ireland and was the wife of Amergin, a Milesian invader.

The site features four large standing stones, the tallest being nearly 3m high. The stones are aligned with the September Equinox. Parking and access to the site can be difficult and good walking shoes are advised. It can also be viewed from the nearby layby.
