Eamonn Ceannt Park

Eamonn Ceannt Park is named after one of the executed leaders of the 1916 Rising. It is located between Sundrive Road and Clogher Road, in the Crumlin area South of Dublin City. Extending to 17 hectares, the park was developed in the 1960’s and includes mature trees, an athletic track, cycling velodrome, playing fields, tennis courts, basketball court, pavilion and children’s playground. Band performances are also held there from time to time.

The park has an all weather sports facility velodrome. The velodrome is the only one in the country and it is used by Cycling Ireland throughout the Summer months teaching the skills needed for track riding. Cycling Ireland also hold local, national and international meetings throughout the summer at the velodrome.
