St Joseph’s Church Carrickmacross

An architectural gem in Carrickmacross, County Monaghan, St Joseph’s Church was completed in 1866, in the era after the Catholic Emancipation Act was passed.

J.J McCarthy, a well known architect of the time, designed the church. It measures 46m long by 18m wide and features stained glass windows by Harry Clarke in addition to the stations of the cross by Richard King.
