The sand is not made up of traditional limestone but of tiny fragments of seashells, which give it its pure white colour, while it’s location on the east side of the bay means it’s pretty sheltered. Only 200m away on the other side of the grassy peninsula is Dog’s Bay, made up of the same brilliant white sand.
